It’s been a while, but it looks like next Saturday, 27th June, will finally see a decent fleet of J/109s on the water racing together. Currently there are 9 from our class entered for the JOG Lonely Tower Race; out to the NAB tower and back.

2020 Class Dinner RTYC 8th Feb
What a difference a few weeks make. Do you remember the fun we used to have?
To help you through your isolation, here are a few pictures from the Class Dinner we held on 8th February at the Royal Thames Yacht Club. Fantastic food and service provided by the club, excellent music from Red Line DJs and a great selection of prized organised by Chris and presented by Jo.
Thank you all for supporting this event. We hope to be back on the water and in the party spirit again soon.
Sevenstar Yacht Transport to Cork Week 2020
Sevenstar have approached the class with an offer for those hoping to participate at Cork 300 /the IRC Europeans. They have agreed a partnership and have managed to get a good deal on the port call costs in Cork. This has lowered the cost for the shipment significantly and as such Sevenstar can now offer affordable mast-up, keel-on transports to Cork and back.

While this would get you back for Cowes Week, the dates for the outbound would mean that you would miss the J-Cup open 2nd to 4th July.

Dutch J/109 team triumph again at Cowes 2019
Seventeen J/109s battled for One-Design victory at Cowes 2019, but in spite of assembling one of the mosts competitive fleets in recent history, the Dutch team aboard Jack Rabbit delivered another convincing victory, winning every race.

At least 100 J/109 sailors are expected at Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club on Tuesday 13th August for the class Cowes Week Dinner.

Dutch team Jack Rabbit, through their rigging business Van Beelen, have very kindly donated a set of J/109 jib sheets in dyneema sk78 with a technora cover. We’ll draw for the winner at the dinner, with one entry into the draw for every ticket purchased.
