Class Training/Coaching Day:  11 March

The J/109 coaching day takes place on 11th March. The coaching will take place in the Central Solent. The Warsash Spring Series starts the following day.

We're hoping to gather as many UK J/109s as possible to a day of coaching and learning on the water with One Sails' crack team. Assuming the weather gods grant us the right conditions.

Changes to Class Rules for 2023

Following a Special General Meeting on 5th February, the J/109 UK and Ireland Class Association have adopted revised class rules. A marked up version can be downloaded using the link below and a clean version has been uploaded to the class website and Facebook group.
The  revised rules clarify what equipment may be used to replace original specification equipment, now that boats are getting older and require bits replacing. They also specifically allow "Gybulators" to be fitted on spinnakers and allow the removal of boat cushions during one design class racing.
