Welcome to the class June Newsletter.

The season is in full swing with J/109s doing well in the JOG and RORC offshore series, and the Vice Admirals Cup complete. Next up, the J Cup: Our national championships.

May- June Review

Jumping Jellyfish (Dave Richards)  won  the Vice Admirals Cup, scoring 5, with 5 first places out of 6 races.
Jukebox and JAGO completed the podium, with 12 points each.

In the RORC series, Jolly Jack Tar (Henry Wilson/ William Jones) are second overall in class 3 for the season so far, with a consistent series of results.  JAGO (Mike Yates)won class 3 in the Myth of Malham, in an incredibly close finish.

In the JOG offshore series, Just So (David McGough) are lying third in class 2, winning the race to Alderney. In the Inshore series, they are sitting top of class 2, having won the Great Escape race

Annual General Meeting

The class Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 30th June, at 19:00 at the RORC clubhouse in Cowes.

The J Cup 2022: Our National Championship

The J Cup is on 30 June and the 1st and 2nd July, based out of Cowes at the Royal Ocean Racing Club.

11 J/109s have entered to date.

Defending champions,  Jumping Jellyfish will be looking to repeat their success at the Cup. They'll face Jukebox and JAGO, who fought for second place at that regatta. Just So, who've been dominating the racing in the JOG series make their one- design debut for 2022. Meanwhile, Joule have joined the field from the Netherlands J/109 fleet, and are a wildcard bet for the championship. Jai Ho return from the Channel Islands and Blue Jay join from the East Coast.
